I have a new toy this week..I am over the moon..happy dancin..so thrilled. A Canon Rebel SXi.Whoo hooo. So I have been trying it out...seeing what it can do. Well..more like what I can do LOL! Here are a few shots from the last couple of days of playing.

Jim brought home a huge bunch of mineral specmines this Sunday..I had some fun with them. This is the center of a geode.
This is a slab of agate..doesn't it look like a Chinese dragon??

Woo hoo! Sarah, I'm so happy you got a new camera. It's so exciting isn't it. I love all your photos. I think the reflection photo is great because I love hearts. I want to take that unraveling course too but I think I'll wait until the spring. It sounds like a lot of fun though and what a great way to learn your new camera and to learn more about yourself.
