Friday My Town Shootout - Birds

Scriptor Senex the UK gave us our theme this week Birds. Whoot thank you, thank you..one of my favorite subjects. I don't really want to own one..but have a passion for seeing them in the wild!!

We have quite a few of these fellows around here...

I have quite a few inside...my Austrian sparrows.

My 1970's owl pair...love them!

Some shore birds..looooove shore birds..

I have one piece by Jim Shore. I would love a few more..whimsical fun!

I know several of you saw my eagle shots from December...but I thought I might share them again..so much fun.

My little Canon Power Shot SX110 could only get so close. Still...I think this was my very favorite shot that day. This last week I bought a brand new Canon Rebel XSi EOS..whoot happy dancin.

Last but not least..is Fredrick..he is an illustration of mine from my illustrated book.

No post on birds would be complete if I didn't share my very favorite bird photographer with you. So go visit Keith over at Holding Moments..the man is amazing!
I will be back this afternoon to visit everyone..off to my kiddos school for a juggling performance!! Have a great weekend all! Namaste, Sarah

You have some neat indoor birds. I could not find a single ceramic or china bird in my house. Good post today.

Fabulous eagles.
There's a pair that nests near my parents house, and though I went out there again and again I never did see the adults. All we saw was the nest overflowing with three enormous fledglings - their mom & dad were staying away until the kids got the idea and went their own ways.

Your house bird's are adorable...and the owl's bring back fond memories for me. Your eagle shot...Oh. My. Goodness. Look at the wing span there..nice shot.

Your drawing is adorable!!! Love it.

Nice visiting you, Sarah ♥

Wow, you do like birds. You have a great collection in your house. Love the eagle shots but my most favorite is your illustration. You make me like birds just a little bit more.

I love Fredrick!

That photo of the eagle about to land is pretty cool too. Do birds land? Hmmm...not sure about that wording.

Thanks for sharing your birdie illustration and the link to your book post. Have fun with your new Canon. I got a nice little digital Canon last summer, and I love it (it's a medium fancy digital camera and it's RED)

Those shots of the eagles just took my breath away! And such a delightful illustration: is he going on a hike, backpack and all?

Keiths shots are amazing! I love your illustrations, which you know I hope we work together soon. You are just an amazing photographer, and the snow falling on your page...I think I see a few birds shivering, I know I am :)

I loved the shots of the eagle. I find just as many beautiful shots with cheap cameras as I do with the more expensive ones. Thanks for sharing.
