
I was finally able to get a few butterfly shots. My butterfly bush which brings them in droves was damaged in our huge snows this year and took a bit to get going this summer. Add the very cool summer and it has just bloomed the last week or so. I was thrilled to see the butterflies gathering and managed to catch what I think is a Skipper. Whoo hoo!!

Yes this is a skipper. My daughter Sandy with 'Williams Syndrome' is an authority about butterflies...If Sandy says it is a Skipper...It Is!

You did very well, Sarah! We have very nervous butterflies here, in Japan, and I manage to capture one only when it is almost asleep!
Though...this year, about a week ago, we had a big black butterfly visit our balcony on the 7th floor! It was an Event!
